BIOGRAPHY

Björn Munko is the Head of Gas Technologies and Energy Systems at DVGW, the German association for gas and water. He leads national and international standardisation in natural gas, hydrogen, and carbon dioxide infrastructure. His career began at TGE Marine in 2003, where he gained extensive expertise in liquefied gas systems and offshore projects.

Björn has overseen the design of the cargo handling system for the Northern Lights carbon dioxide carriers. He has worked on global collaborations with shipyards and energy companies, including a long-term assignment in Asia.
